Our Services
Occupational Therapy Assessment
In most cases, we start with a comprehensive Occupational Therapy Assessment to evaluate and understand the strengths, weakness and difficulties of the child.
The assessment is structured and includes the use of various formal and informal methods to obtain a baseline evaluation of your child.
Throughout the assessment, parents are able to share any concerns and they are given the information required to help them understand how an Occupational Therapy program may help their child achieve their maximum potential.
The assessment time varies from 90 minutes to 120 minutes. A formal report of the assessment is provided to the parents with recommendations and goals for therapy as required.
Therapy Sessions
If therapy sessions are recommended as a result of the assessment, a tangible list of goals and priorities and the recommended interventions will be clearly outlined in the written report.
Individualised therapy sessions are designed to help your child achieve optimum functional independence. Sessions and can be carried out at school or in the home setting. The duration required for each session may be 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour depending on the need.
All of our therapy sessions adhere to the evidence-based Occupational Therapy practices.
